Freedom fighter Rajalingam passes away
Hyderabad, Jan 23 (INN): Freedom fighter and
Gandhi Bhavan Trust Board chairman M S Rajalingam passed away in the wee
hours of Monday.
He was 93. Rajalingam was admitted at the Yashoda hospital in Secunderabad a few days ago after complaining of heart attack. He died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana, Information Technology Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah, Major Industries Minister J Geetha Reddy and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Basavaraj Saraiah placed wreath on his body and expressed their sympathies with the family members. The PCC chief recalled his services for the party and the Telangana region.
Hailing from Warangal district, Rajalingam completed his studies in law and was also elected as a member of the State Legislative Assembly. He worked as a minister during the tenure of Chief Minister Boorgula Ramakrishna Rao. He was the first minister from the Warangal district.
