Payal Ghosh is an Indian film actress who has mostly acted in Telugu films. She has completed her first Tamil film Therodum Veediyile, directed by Saro Sriram, in which she plays a traditional girl, who lives in Erode. She was selected as the female lead by Vivek Agnihotri for his Bollywood film Freedom and filmed for it in 2012. While the film has not released yet as of 2014, she has signed another Hindi film, a yet-to-be-titled comedy opposite Vir Das, directed by Sanjay Chhel.

ISRO successfully test fires GSLV Marks-3

Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh), June 30 (IANS) An Indian rocket carrying a French earth observation satellite and four other foreign satellites blasted off from the rocket port here.

Exactly at 9.52 a.m., the rocket - Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C23 (PSLV-C23) - standing around 44.4 metres tall and weighing around 230 ton tore into the bright morning skies with orange flames fiercely burning at its tail.
The rocket port is around 80 km from Chennai.

Ganta Oppointed as Chairmen for TSPSC

Hyderabad, Dec 17 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday issued orders for the formation of Telangana State Public Service Commission and appointed Ganta Chakraphani as its chairman. 

The other members of the TPSSC are C Vittal, Mateenuddin Quadriand Dr Banoth Chandravathi. The newly appointed members of the Public Service Commission later called on the Chief Minister and thanked for their appointment. (INN)

Three pedestrians met with accidents

Hyderabad, Dec 17 (INN): In separate cases, three pedestrians were killed in road accidents at different places in the city and its outskirts.While two accidents took place in the limits of Medipally police station, another accident occurred in Malkajgiri police limits. In the first case, Raza-ul-Ali, 25, died on the spot after he was hit by a lorry. He was a native of West Bengal. In another case, 60-year-old Y Yettappa of Ghatkesar died instantaneously when he was hit by a speeding car. Both the accidents occurred on Tuesday night.

In a different case, a 50-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit and run by an unidentified car while he was crossing the road near Anandbagh in Malkajgiri police limits on Tuesday night. The deceased was later identified as P Raju, a businessman of Malkajgiri. (INN)

CID Inspector killed in road accident


Hyderabad, Dec 17 (INN): A police inspector was killed in a road accident at Jubilee Bus Station in Secunderabad on Wednesday evening. According to Marredpally police, the inspector, T Tirupathi Rao, 52, slipped while trying to board a Karimnagar-bound running RTC bus (AP29 Z1779) at JBS at around 7.30 PM on Wednesday. He sustained multiple injuries on head and body and died at the Gandhi Hospital a few minutes later.

Tirupathi Rao was attached to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Warangal Range. He was a native of Karimnagar district, according to Sub-Inspector V Ravi Kumar. (INN)
